• 1936 Life magazine relaunched by Henry Luce First issue of the weekly photo magazine Henry Luce published the first issue of Life as a weekly photojournalism magazine, with a Margaret Bourke-White photograph of Fort Peck Dam on the cover. It quickly became one of the best-selling magazines in the United States. It shaped the development of American photojournalism.
