• 1930 Allied occupation of the Rhineland ends Last French troops leave five years ahead of schedule The last French troops left the Rhineland under the terms agreed at the Hague Conference on the Young Plan. The Treaty of Versailles had allowed the occupation to continue until 1935. Germany still had to keep the Rhineland demilitarised.
• 1930 Anglo-Iraqi Treaty signed Britain agrees to end its mandate over Iraq Britain and the Kingdom of Iraq signed a treaty providing for Iraqi independence and admission to the League of Nations. In return, Britain kept air bases and military rights. Iraq became independent in 1932.
