1928Chrysler acquires Dodge BrothersChrysler becomes one of the Big ThreeWalter Chrysler bought Dodge Brothers from the investment bank Dillon, Read and Co. The merger greatly expanded Chrysler's manufacturing and dealer network. Chrysler had launched its Plymouth and DeSoto brands earlier the same year.
