• 1814 First Treaty of Paris signed Allied powers set terms for post-Napoleonic France The victorious Allied powers and the restored French monarchy signed the Treaty of Paris, returning France roughly to its 1792 borders. The treaty ended the War of the Sixth Coalition and set the stage for the Congress of Vienna to redraw the map of Europe. France was treated relatively leniently, retaining most of its pre-revolutionary territory.
