Wellington's forces repelled the attacks in a series of engagements around Sorauren. The failed offensive confirmed Allied momentum in the Peninsular War.
1813Capture of CaracasSimon Bolivar retakes Venezuela's capital from SpainSimon Bolivar's forces entered Caracas after a rapid military campaign from New Granada, expelling Spanish royalist forces.
