1807Battle of FriedlandDecisive French victory over RussiaNapoleon's army crushed Russian forces under Leonty Bennigsen at Friedland in East Prussia on 14 June 1807. The defeat forced Tsar Alexander I to seek peace, leading directly to the Treaties of Tilsit. It was one of the most complete victories of Napoleon's career.
