2034 FIFA World Cup 2034 — Saudi Arabia The 25th FIFA World Cup is awarded to Saudi Arabia — confirmed by FIFA in December 2024 following an uncontested bidding process. The first 48-team World Cup hosted by a single nation, played across 15 stadiums in five cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Abha and Neom. The second Middle Eastern nation to host the tournament after Qatar 2022. The decision is controversial due to Saudi Arabia's human rights record; FIFA's process is widely criticised for lacking competitive bidding.
