1931 – 2005Anne Bancroft (1931-2005)Died 6 June 2005, aged 73Anne Bancroft, the Academy Award-winning actress best known for her role as Mrs. Robinson in "The Graduate", died on 6 June 2005. She won the Oscar for Best Actress for "The Miracle Worker" in 1962 and had a career spanning stage, film and television. Bancroft was married to filmmaker and comedian Mel Brooks.
