1997Timothy McVeigh sentenced to deathJury verdict for the Oklahoma City bombingA federal jury sentenced Timothy McVeigh to death for the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, which killed 168 people. McVeigh was convicted on charges including conspiracy and use of a weapon of mass destruction. He was executed in 2001.
