1996Centennial Olympic Park BombingPipe bomb attack during the Atlanta Games kills one and injures over a hundredA pipe bomb detonated in Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta during the 1996 Summer Olympics, killing one person and injuring more than a hundred others. Eric Rudolph, an anti-abortion extremist, was later identified as the bomber and captured in 2003. The attack was one of several bombings he carried out over the following years.
