• 1993 1993 Bombay bombings Coordinated bomb blasts kill over 250 people across the city A series of 12 coordinated bomb explosions struck targets across Bombay (Mumbai), including the Bombay Stock Exchange, killing over 250 people and injuring more than 700. Indian authorities attributed the attacks to organized crime figures acting in retaliation for earlier communal riots. It remains one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in India's history.
