1969 – 2010Alexander McQueen (1969-2010)Died 11 February 2010, aged 40McQueen was a British fashion designer known for his dramatic runway shows and technically daring designs, serving as chief designer at Givenchy before founding his own label. He won British Designer of the Year four times. He died by suicide at his London home, days before his mother's funeral.
