1935Government of India ActProvincial autonomy for British IndiaThe British Parliament passed the longest act in its history up to that time. It gave Indian provinces elected, self-governing ministries and proposed an all-India federation. It also separated Burma from India, and parts of it formed the basis of India's later constitution.
