• 1862 – 1934 Gustav von Kahr (1862-1934) Died 30 June 1934, aged 71 Bavarian politician who suppressed Hitler's Beer Hall Putsch in 1923. He was murdered at Dachau during the Night of the Long Knives in revenge.
• 1882 – 1934 Kurt von Schleicher (1882-1934) Died 30 June 1934, aged 52 German general and the last Chancellor of the Weimar Republic before Hitler. SS men shot him and his wife at their home during the Night of the Long Knives.
• 1892 – 1934 Gregor Strasser (1892-1934) Died 30 June 1934, aged 42 Leading early Nazi organiser and head of the party's left wing, who broke with Hitler in 1932. He was murdered in a Gestapo cell during the Night of the Long Knives.
• 1934 Night of the Long Knives Hitler purges the SA leadership and political rivals Hitler ordered the SS and Gestapo to kill Ernst Röhm and the SA leadership along with conservative opponents, including former chancellor Kurt von Schleicher. At least 85 people were killed. The purge secured the support of the army for the Nazi regime.
