1929Cristero War endsChurch-state agreement ends the Mexican uprisingAn agreement brokered by US Ambassador Dwight Morrow between the Mexican government and the Catholic hierarchy ended the Cristero War. Public worship resumed after three years of armed revolt against anticlerical laws. The war had cost about 90,000 lives.
