1928Kellogg-Briand Pact signedNations renounce war as an instrument of national policyThe General Treaty for Renunciation of War was signed in Paris by fifteen nations, led by the United States and France. It was named after US Secretary of State Frank B. Kellogg and French Foreign Minister Aristide Briand. The pact later provided a legal basis for the crimes-against-peace charges at the Nuremberg trials.
