• 1921 Hitler becomes leader of the Nazi Party Adolf Hitler assumes dictatorial control of the NSDAP Adolf Hitler forced a leadership vote in the National Socialist German Workers' Party, emerging with near-absolute authority and the title of Fuhrer of the party.
