1920 – 1992Isaac Asimov (1920-1992)Died 6 April 1992, aged 72Isaac Asimov was a prolific author and biochemist best known for science fiction works including the Foundation series and the Three Laws of Robotics. He wrote or edited nearly 500 books across fiction and popular science. He died in New York from complications of HIV contracted through a blood transfusion.

Mitchell Palmer led a series of raids across the United States targeting suspected anarchists and communists during the First Red Scare.
