He championed national unity between English and French Canada and remained leader of the Liberal Party until his death.
1867 – 1919Kurt Eisner (1867-1919)Died 21 February 1919, aged 51Eisner led the revolution that toppled the Bavarian monarchy in 1918 and became the first minister-president of the People's State of Bavaria. He was assassinated by a nationalist gunman in Munich while on his way to resign from office.
