1913Second Balkan WarFormer allies turn on Bulgaria over Balkan spoilsBulgaria attacked its former allies Serbia and Greece over the division of Macedonia, drawing in Romania and the Ottoman Empire against it. The war lasted just over a month and ended in a decisive defeat for Bulgaria. It left Serbia and Greece considerably enlarged and set the stage for further Balkan instability before the First World War.
