1901 – 1909T. Roosevelt presidency26th President — 1901 to 1909Theodore Roosevelt assumed the presidency on September 14, 1901 after McKinley's assassination, serving until March 4, 1909. He was the youngest president ever at 42, and won the Nobel Peace Prize for mediating the Russo-Japanese War.
1909 – 1913Taft presidency27th President — 1909 to 1913William Howard Taft served as the 27th President from March 4, 1909 to March 4, 1913. He prosecuted more antitrust cases than Roosevelt and established the Department of Labor. He later became Chief Justice.
