1890Revolucion del Parque uprising in Buenos AiresArmed revolt against President Juarez CelmanArmed civilians and dissident army officers rose up in Buenos Aires against the government of President Miguel Juarez Celman, whose administration was mired in corruption and economic crisis. Government forces put down the revolt militarily, but the uprising forced Juarez Celman's resignation weeks later. The revolt led to the founding of the Radical Civic Union, a major Argentine political party.
