1816Lord Byron Departs England PermanentlyAda never sees her father againFacing social disgrace and mounting debts, Lord Byron left England in April 1816 and never returned. He would go on to write extensively about his longing for his estranged daughter, including verses in Childe Harold's Pilgrimage, but the two never met again before his death in Greece in 1824.
