1815Napoleon Returns from ElbaBeginning of the Hundred DaysNapoleon Bonaparte escaped exile on Elba and landed near Cannes with a small force. He marched north gathering support from French troops sent to stop him, entering Paris on 20 March to reclaim the throne, launching the period known as the Hundred Days.
