1783 – 1810Princess Amelia (1783-1810)Died 2 November 1810, aged 27Amelia was the youngest daughter of King George III and a lifelong invalid, suffering from tuberculosis and erysipelas. Her death devastated her father and is credited with triggering his final, permanent descent into mental illness. The resulting crisis led Parliament to establish his son as Prince Regent the following year.
