• 1536 Execution of Anne Boleyn Henry VIII's second wife beheaded at the Tower of London Anne Boleyn, the second wife of King Henry VIII, was convicted of treason, adultery, and incest on fabricated charges and beheaded at the Tower of London on 19 May 1536. Her fall cleared the way for Henry's marriage to Jane Seymour just days later. The execution remains one of the most notorious episodes of the English Reformation.
